Cow Bank Program

2009 being the Year of the Cow made all of us here at HOPE think dearly of our Cow Bank Program.

Buying a cow is an exciting and new way to help those in need in Cambodia. Working out of our Micro-finance program, the Cow is loaned to a family for 18 months, during that time, they are able to use it for ploughing�@and fertilizing their fields. When the cow gives birth to a small calf after the 18 months are over, the family keeps the calf and the cow moves on to help another family in need, each time leaving a calf for the family. A small gesture, like donating a cow, can make a positive change in the lives of so many people in desperate need for a brighter future.
